Prisoner Justice Day

Today August 10th, Prisoner Justice Day, we honoured the memory of prisoners who have died and tried to raise awareness for those who suffer still. Thank you to those who courageously spoke and shared their thoughts with us. Huge appreciation to all who joined us; CBC Edmonton, The John Humphrey Centre for Peace & Human Rights, The Elizabeth Fry Society of Edmonton, CreArt Edmonton, Support Don’t Punish, Criminal Defence Lawyer Mac Walker, Terry Paskemin from Sweetgrass Saskatchewan; founder of Blackstone singers, Leo Paskemin, Aaron Bird and everyone else in attendance. The support and solidarity shown proves that prisoners are not alone and that they have allies. Together we can bring change.
